Bipolar Disorder

From high to low, from euphoria to depression, from recklessness to listlessness — all symptoms associated with bipolar disorders, — an acute and disabling mental illness. Bipolar disorders are also known as manic-depressions or manic-depressive illnesses. Manic behavior is one extreme of this disorder and depression is the other. Bipolar disorders often start in adolescence or early adulthood and may continue throughout a person’s life. The causes of bipolar disorders are elusive, and there’s no cure.

The signs of a bipolar disorder may persist for weeks or months, causing great disturbances in the lives of those affected as well as their friends and their families. Bipolar disorder can be controlled with medications and other therapies, but if left untreated, the condition worsens.

A family history of depression appears to exist in 80 to 90 percent of cases of bipolar disorders. People with bipolar disorders often don’t recognize how impaired they are when experiencing a mood episode and how greatly the disorder is affecting their lives and the lives of others around them. Friends, family and primary care physicians are all important in recognizing possible signs of bipolar disorder, and in urging a person to seek professional help.

Bipolar disorders can be classified into four different types, Bipolar I and Bipolar II, Cyclothymic Disorder and Bipolar Disorder Not Otherwise Specified. Psychological health experts separate the condition into these four types because the symptoms of bipolar disorder show up differently in different people. When doctors know what type a person has, they can tailor treatment to that person’s specific needs.

Bipolar disorders can affect both men and women. In many people, the first symptoms show up in their early twenties. However, research has shown that the first episodes of bipolar disorder may start occurring earlier. The condition often shows up in teenage years, and even very young children can display symptoms.

If a family member or friend shows signs of bipolar disorder, one should encourage that person to seek the care of a psychiatrist immediately.

Bingo

There are many indoor games we enjoy playing during a get-together, or any other occasions. Bingo is one such game that is fun to play. Numbered balls are drawn at random and players cover the corresponding numbers on their cards. It is a prize game, played mostly in halls or any other place. The bingo play cards are designed with numbers on them in a 5×5 grid matching to the five letters of the word BINGO. It is also called a game of chance, where players are awarded prizes for being the first to complete a specified arrangement of numbers on the bingo card, based on numbers selected at random.

Bingo is a derivative of lotto, a lottery game which was first started in 1530 in Italy. Later, in 1778, it grabbed the interest of people in France. The playing card used here was divided into three horizontal and nine vertical rows. Each horizontal row had five numbered and four blank squares. No two lotto cards were alike, and the chips were numbered from 1 to 90. The caller would call out a number while drawing a numbered token. The player who completed the horizontal was declared the winner.

In US this game is primarily staged in churches or charity organizations. In some states these games are conducted in bingo halls which are rented by sponsoring organizations. Commercial bingo games in the US are primarily offered by casinos. In the 1800s educational lotto games became popular. The German lotto was designed to teach tables to children.

This game was once considered the game of old ladies, but nowadays it attracting people of both sexes and all ages. In the early 20th century this game became popular in Australia. It was called Housie, and before conducting it in halls it was held in large canopies. The winner of the game was called House.

Now this game is so popular that whenever you have a gathering or a get-together, people would opt for Bingo as the best way to pass the time.

Bipolar Symptoms

Bipolar disorder is an illness where a person experiences extreme changes in mood, thought, energy and behavior. He may feel manic for an instant and depressed the next.

In manic episodes, there is a distinct period of abnormally elevated or irritable mood lasting at least one week. During that time, the person experiences three or more of the following symptoms: grandiosity, decreased need for sleep, pressure to keep talking, flight of ideas, distractibility, increase in goal-oriented activity and excessive involvement in pleasurable activities that have a high potential for painful consequences. A manic person can be reckless and impulsive. He is very self-confident and optimistic. In severe cases, a manic person may even have delusions and hallucinations.

In a hypomanic episode, there is a distinct period of persistently elevated or irritable mood different from the usual nondepressed mood lasting for four days or more. During the mood disturbance, the person experiences three or more of the symptoms of mania. The disturbance in mood must be observable by others but not so severe as to impair his occupational functioning and social activities.

In a major depressive episode, a person feels a depressed mood and/or loss of interest or pleasure for two weeks or more. Five or more of the following symptoms may be experienced by the person most of the day almost everyday, such as depressed mood, markedly decreased interest or pleasure in activities, significant weight loss or weight gain, insomnia or hypersomnia, psychomotor agitation or retardation, fatigue or loss of energy, feelings of worthlessness or guilt, diminished ability to think or concentrate and recurrent thoughts of death. The symptoms can cause significant distress or impairment in social and occupational functioning. The depressed person may have difficulty in crying, have countless unprovoked crying spells or he may just be indifferent. He may also complain of aches and pains that may have no real physical causes.

Bingo Games

Bingo is generally played in halls. The rules differ from place to place. At some places the game is played with a bingo card that contains 24 numbered spaces and one free space (blank). The numbers are assigned at random on each card, and are arranged in five columns of five numbers each.

The game includes all combinations of marked numbers played for prizes on the bingo card. Each bingo player is given a card marked with a grid containing a unique combination of numbers and, in some countries, blank spaces. For each turn a non-player calls out the number and places it aside; it isn’t chosen again. Each player searches his card for the called number, and if he finds it he marks it. The caller continues to select and announce numbers until the first player forms the agreed pattern (one line, two lines, full house or inside square, outside square and full card) on their card and shouts out the name of the pattern. The winning pattern to be formed on the card is announced. There are multiple prizes given out.

On Canadian and American cards lines can be made horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Inner and roving squares and kites must be completely filled; roving squares and kites may be made anywhere on the card. In the UK this game is played mainly for cash prizes. It is also played as a fund raiser for various concerns.

Bingo games are usually simple and relaxed, making for a fun evening out which even children can enjoy. It can now be played online, too.

Bingo Equipment

Bingo finds its roots in the Italian lottery, and can be traced back to the early 1500s. Earlier it was called “Beano,” and was later changed to Bingo when a game enthusiast was so thrilled by winning she exclaimed “Bingo”; that’s how it still is known today. This game is played all over the world in different ways, and various types of equipment are used in playing this game.

Bingo blower is one such piece of equipment used. It is an electronic, motor-driven device that holds bingo balls, which resemble Ping-Pong balls. It continually mixes the balls by blowing them around inside the device, and then a chute on the blower randomly pulls a ball out for the caller of the bingo game. In this way, a bingo blower ensures a random calling of each game.

This equipment comes in many variants and configurations. The smaller variant is called Las Vegas style blowers, or bubble-top blowers. Also in vogue are the larger variants, which are about the size of a desk. These are made so that all of the players can see the balls inside the device as they are mixed by the internal fan. The other equipment is bingo papers that are available in different kinds like elite, champion, books, and random.

Bingo cards are also used to play. Here, the winner is disclosed by a method wherein the players have to obtain bingo cards from point-of-sale that prints bingo cards and allows the players to play online. Each bingo card is represented as a bitmap, containing an entry corresponding to each square on the bingo card. Winning players are identified by comparing the card bitmap to each of the possible winning bitmaps.

In this way, using different equipment, you can enjoy this game along with the enthusiasts who like the challenge of solving a puzzle.

Binding Machines

Binding is a process by which the pages and cover of a book are bound together through a strip sewn over or along an edge of the book for reinforcement or decoration. Hardcover bindings are generally made of thick cardboard covered with cloth or paper. In the old days hardcover was made out of leather or some other expensive material, and the binding process was done manually. Nowadays, this process is done with machines known as binding machines.

There are two ways the binding knots function: friction type and knotted ends type. In friction type, the binding knots pass at least once around a load of papers and are held in place by the friction caused between the windings of the line that pass over top of other winding. In knotted ends type, the binding knots pass at least once around a load and are held in place by the two ends of the line being knotted together.

Other popular binding methods include perfect binding, saddle-stitching and collate and cut. There are certain kinds of binding and finishing processes which require just one step. For example, leaflets or newspaper inserts only need to be folded. Other processes, such as binding books or magazines, must be done in progressive steps.

The different kinds of binding machines used in this process are: comb binding machines, double-loop wire-binding machines, spiral/coil wire binding machines, combination (coil/wire) book-binding machines, and thermal binding. These machines are generally used by many businesses, schools, churches, libraries and other organizations.

Binding machines make it easy for you to get your ideas noticed. It’s a fact: professional, distinctively bound documents command attention. You can bind important presentations, reports, manuals, directories and booklets right in your office or at your desk with these binding machines.

Binding Machine Prices

Consumers may be very confused when purchasing binding machines. This is because the market has a number of competitive products to offer. Most of these goods are available at cutthroat prices and offer similar functions. This makes it tricky for new users to make the right choice.

Binding machine prices depend on pricing policies of different manufacturing companies. Some companies concentrate on increasing sales by offering a relatively low rate whereas others offer binding machines at premium prices to target a niche market consisting of small to medium level binding firms. Binding machines are available for domestic and commercial use. For this reason, potential buyers need to research the prevailing prices and analyze the available options. Binding machine prices tend to vary as they highly depend on the brand and the available features.

Entry-level binding machines are available in the range of hundred to two hundred dollars and have all the basic features required for undertaking low level binding activities. High-end binding machines are also available in the market that are priced above one thousand dollars and are normally used in large binding firms.

Prices also depend on the type of pricing schemes offered by the manufacturer or retailer. Binding machines offered under discount and wholesale schemes are usually priced below standard retail prices to attract new customers and increase sales. Used binding machine prices are also significantly lower and can be afforded by low budget users.

Binding machine prices also depend on the cyclic demand-supply situation affecting the machine manufacturing industry. Users looking for the most cost effective deals can log on to Internet websites for comparing prices and features of different brands or models of binding machines. Individuals can also carry out a research about the prices of binding machines available at different retail stores. This simple research can provide first hand knowledge about discount on prices and free accessories.

Billing Software

Every business or company needs efficient, fast and quick results from their employees; they are more dependent on the manual work than machines for a few accurate and quick processes. The major places where there are problems, faced by either small businessmen or tycoons, are accounts or cash procedures. Even in an age where machine power is the norm, many businesses yet depend on manpower. This gives rise to inefficient and delayed results. Billing software, also known as invoice software, is software that helps us to maintain bills or accounts accurately.

It simplifies the process of manual billing and provides features like automatic invoicing, integration with other systems, time management, self service, payment processes and more. Added to this, it can be used to maintain a complete client and staff history with billing adjustments and time-slip production. This software can be also used in creating invoices, quotes, proposals and customer statements, and also to keep track of outstanding invoices and customer payments. This is a very important component that can be used in any type of business.

If the billing isn’t on time and accurate, or if the billing processes are inefficient, then there are chances of losing customers and revenue. Billing software can be the perfect solution to your problem. It can not only help get your billing done fast, but manages to save your customer contacts and provide sales reports. This software meets the requirements of not only a one-person office, but also a large network-based organization getting fast and immediate results.

If you are looking for software that will get your billing done with minimum time and maximum flexibility, get billing software in your office. Spend less time billing your customers and more time filling their needs.

Billing Software Peripherals

Among the different computer peripherals that are available on the market, one of the most important is the memory of the computer. The memory of computers can determine how well a computer will perform different tasks because there are certain computer tasks that have very specific memory requirements that may require a computer user to get more memory. Usually, there are five scenarios in which a person may need to get more memory. These scenarios include operating systems upgrades, installation of new applications, installation of multimedia cards, installation of computer peripherals, and hard disk ‘chugging.’ With regard to installing billing software, which is a new application, there is a need to get more memory to enable the computer to effectively perform the tasks of the software.

Memory for billing software

Given the various tasks that billing software performs that sometimes need to be done simultaneously, there is a need to get the adequate amount of memory so that the system can effectively carry out the tasks of the software. To determine how much memory is needed, check the user’s manual of the software because it usually contains the system requirements of the software, including its memory requirements. However, if the user’s manual does not specify the memory requirements of the software, you can try to do a little research on similar software and their requirements and buy the average amount of memory that they require. As a rule of thumb, applications like billing software, which falls under the executive/professional category of software, usually require about 512 MB to 1 GB of memory.

One of the most important computer peripherals is computer memory because it can determine the performance of the system in carrying out a number of tasks. With regard to billing software, this is also very true because an adequate amount of memory allows a person using the software to maximize the benefits he can get from the software. An adequate amount of memory can allow the system to perform the numerous tasks that billing software needs to carry out to serve its important functions.
