Track and Field as it is popularly known in American English, was originally known as Athletics. Athletics is a word y derived from the Greek word ‘althos.’ which means ‘contest.’ It consists of a collection of sports events that can be divided into running, throwing and jumping events. Track and Field has various events that are open to males and females.
